Why not Film
My first experience with film photography using a Pentax SF 7 camera and Kodak Gold 200 reel with a Tamron zoom lens in Singapore was a thrilling and nerve-wracking experience. As someone who had previously only used digital cameras, I was excited to explore the world of film photography and see how it differed from what I was used to.
At first, the process of loading the film and adjusting the camera settings manually felt unfamiliar and a bit intimidating. But as I started to take photos, I found myself being more mindful of each shot and carefully composing each image, knowing that I only had a limited number of exposures on the reel.
I enjoyed exploring my surroundings more deeply, searching for interesting subjects and unique angles that I may not have noticed when using a digital camera. With each click of the shutter, I heard the satisfying sound of the film winding and felt the camera’s mechanics working.
